DANCE DRESS CODE
SRQ dress code is designed so students may be taught with the greatest efficiency. Anyone not wearing the proper dress code is unable to participate in class, but may sit and observe class. Without students in dress code, the class is difficult to teach because colored or print garments and cover-ups distract the teacher from being able to see and correct the line of the body, just as loose hair hinders a students progress in mastering turns and neck placement. Students must be prepared each class with correct shoes, attire, and all the necessary accessories to put up hair. No jewelry may be worn in any classes with the exception of small earrings.

BALLET Solid black leotard with pink tights and ballet slippers. Hair must be off the face and in a bun. No clothing may be worn over the leotard and tights.

JAZZ/ACRO/TAP/LYRICAL Traditional ballet attire may be worn with jazz pants or shorts. Hair must be worn off the face. Students may not wear loose fitting garments such as T-shirts or sweat pants. Appropriate shoes must be worn to each class.

CHILDREN’S CLASSES Any color or style of dance wear. Please do not wear “stage” costumes to class. Hair must be off the face.

NO FOOD AND DRINK ALLOWED IN THE STUDIOS with the exception of bottled water.

ABSENCES Please schedule all make up classes with the office.

There is a strict NO REFUND policy for moneys paid in advance for tuition, even in cases where students have not taken a class. For this reason, we ask our students to choose carefully the classes they want to take, knowing in advance the payment is taken as a guarantee of keeping a slot for their class. A student may, however, apply their tuition towards other classes if he/she chooses to change the day or subject he/she wants to study. Tuition is not transferable to other students or for merchandise.

COMMUNICATION Please feel free to contact the office with any concerns or ideas. For questions about any particular class please speak the the scheduled teacher or Cory Boyas. For questions concerning your customer account please contact Sharon Boyas or office personnel.

If you need to speak with the directors, Cory and Sharon Boyas, regarding your class placement or your teacher, you can also call the office to schedule an appointment.
